Meditation and self-care after pregnancy
You’ve been developing a meditation practice to nurture your body, mind and baby during pregnancy. You are well prepared for your special birthing time and you’ve learned to breathe both air and energy into your vase of life.
When your baby comes you’ll be transitioning into the postpartum time and the need to nurture your body, mind and baby continues; perhaps even intensifies.
Transitioning from the Calm Birth meditations to the Calm Parent tracks helps to keep up these wonderful practices in ways that are specific to this time of transformation. The tracks will feel familiar and you’ll sink into deep relaxation and awareness.
Included in Calm Parent are tracks to help your body and mind relax and that may help resolve any lingering issues about your birth. Even if you’ve had the birth of your dreams it is still helpful to integrate the experience of birth and step fully forward into the role of parent.
Regardless of how you feed your baby there are practices that support bonding during feeding (breast, bottle, SNS, NG or G tube, etc.)
Calm Parent honors the many paths to parenthood and is appropriate for whatever your unique family looks like.
Prepare before your baby is born to continue these practices during postpartum time and beyond. Know that you will certainly encounter obstacles along the way; it’s perfectly okay to modify these practices to work for your life. Find moments in the day or night to connect to your breath, guide universal energy into your vase of life and connect deeply with your baby.
